Dublin Mountain Backyard Ultra 2026

Race Details

The Dublin Mountain Backyard Ultra is Ireland's highest backyard ultra event, now in its 6th edition. It takes place on Saturday 9th May 2026 at Ballinascorney in the Dublin Mountains, starting at 12 midday.

Format: A looped course of 6.7km (approx. 4.7 miles). Every hour, on the hour, you start again. Keep going until you can't. You don't need to be fast — you need to be last. The last person standing wins.

Qualification: The top 25 finishers qualify for Team Leinster, who will then represent Leinster in the All-Ireland Backyard Finals.

Who can enter: Open to everyone — whether you're chasing a title, a personal goal, or just want to see what you're made of.
