Race Details

The Glanageenty Marathon is a challenging mountain marathon in County Kerry taking place on Saturday 13th December, 2025. The race covers 42.20km with 1,300m of climbing.

Mandatory Kit (Level C - Advanced):

• Waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams
• Waterproof pants
• Gloves
• Whistle
• Full-body cover (long-sleeved top with integrated/separate number sleeve)
• Foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent
• Waterproof full leg cover
• Torch with full beam minimum of 200 lux water
• Emergency food
• Map of course/area

All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalized on the day, depending on conditions, and clearly advised at Registration. You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required. Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.
