The Regeneron Great Limerick Run Marathon is one of Ireland's biggest mass participation sporting events outside of Dublin. The race showcases Limerick city's iconic landmarks with huge crowds, live music zones, and fantastic local support throughout all 26.2 miles. Starting in Pery Square, runners travel through the city's vibrant streets, along the River Shannon, and out toward the suburbs, passing through the University of Limerick and landmarks like Thomond Stadium before the final stretch returns to O'Connell Street.
