Gullion Way Ultra 2026
Race Details
The Gullion Way Ultra takes place on Saturday 4th July 2026, starting and finishing at Slieve Gullion Forest Park, Co. Armagh. The route follows the Gullion Way around the ring dyke — one of the finest examples of a volcanic ring dyke formation in Britain and Ireland, formed approximately 60 million years ago.
Distance: Approximately 64km (route may vary slightly due to unavoidable diversions) Surface: Approximately 90% road (quiet rural country roads), 10% trail Start time: 9:00am
Route highlights: Starting in Slieve Gullion Forest Park, the course takes runners through spectacular countryside with outstanding views across the Ring of Gullion and the landscape of South Armagh. Along the way you pass through ancient sites, peaceful villages and wild moorland.
Cut-off times:
- 7 hours at 26 miles (Slieve Gullion Forest Park checkpoint)
- 10 hours to complete the full distance
