
Kerry Way Ultra 2026
Race Details
The Kerry Way Ultra is a multi-day ultra race following the Kerry Way — one of Ireland's most spectacular long-distance walking and running routes. Registration, start, and finish are all at the Killarney Racecourse, Ross Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry.
The route passes through the Ring of Kerry, taking runners along the Kerry Way markers through remote mountain terrain, coastal paths and picturesque villages.
Venue: Killarney Racecourse, Ross Road, Killarney (Registration, Start & Finish)
Crew stops: Multiple crew stops along the route, including Glenbeigh, Caherdaniel/Castlecove, Waterville Community Centre, Kenmare, Templenoe, and others.
Key rules:
- When leaving the N71 and entering Killarney National Park, you must follow the Kerry Way route
- No pacers permitted (though you may run alongside other registered participants)
- Any items returned at crew stops or drop bags will be available at the finish
- Drop bags at each crew stop — clearly label with your name and race number
Mandatory gear: Fully charged mobile phone, survival foil blanket, first aid kit (plasters, bandages, sterile dressing, antiseptic wipes), safety equipment (checked at registration and spot-checked on route).
