Mourne Mountain Marathon 2026

Race Details

The Mourne Mountain Marathon (MMM) is a two-day mountain marathon event held in the stunning Mourne Mountains, Co. Down — not your average 26-mile marathon. Teams of two navigate the mountains over two days, carrying all their own gear and camping overnight between stages.

Race classes:

• Elite Class: 55KM / 2,700m elevation — 2 days, for experienced mountain marathon teams
• A Class / B Class: 55KM / 1,800m to 35KM / 1,600m — 2 days, various levels
• C Class / D Class: Shorter distances, accessible for less experienced teams
• Score Class: No fixed course — how far can you get in 3 days? Open to runners and hill walkers

Format: Navigation-based mountain marathon. Teams carry all gear and camp overnight between Day 1 and Day 2.

Entry fee: £110 per team (€75 for U23 and Adult-Junior teams) / Score Class £40 per team. Limited to 200 teams.
