Newcastle Way Half Marathon 2025

Race Details

The Newcastle Way Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, 5th October 2025 in County Down, Northern Ireland, running in the shadow of the Mournes. The half marathon begins just outside Castlewellan Forest and follows the scenic, waymarked Newcastle Way trail through Murlough and the National Trust Reserve, finishing along the beach back in Newcastle. Runners are responsible for navigation with official trail markers and a GPX file provided; no extra markers are added. A bus transfer option is available to the half marathon start. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with medical cover, full insurance, and post-race refreshments—courtesy of Quinns Bar—provided at the finish.
