Race Details

'Run the Line' is one of Ireland's biggest trail races and a vital fundraising event for Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team (DWMRT). It takes place on Saturday 22nd November 2025.

This years event is especially important to us as we are in the middle of building our new base near Roundwood, and all funds raised will go towards its completion.

Distance: 26km

Start/Finish: Glencullen Adventure Park

Course: The event consists of two separate races (13km and 26km) across the Dublin Mountains, starting and finishing at Glencullen Adventure Park. The route passes through many spectacular locations along the way, offering breath-taking views of Dublin. The course caters for anyone looking for a real challenge in the outdoors!

The course is a mix of private land and Coillte forestry which includes a road crossing for the long course and mountain bike trail crossing for both courses. Please note Mountain Bikers have right of way.

Important Information

Clothing: The Dublin and Wicklow mountains can experience severe weather conditions so we strongly suggest you bring a change of clothing that is buff plus windproof jacket, water and food whilst competing, especially in case of bad weather. Please pack with this forecast in mind. We would also suggest you bring a dry change of clothes for after the race so that you don't catch a chill.

Parking: Limited parking is available at the start/finish area in the Glencullen Adventure Park so please plan in advance how you will get to and from the event and carpool where possible. The carpark will be open from 8:30 am and will be staffed until 10:30 am. Please follow the instructions of the parking attendants and note on-street parking in the Glencullen area is NOT allowed as the roads are very narrow and pose a safety risk.

Help desk: Our help desk is open from 9 am - 10:45 am on the day of the event. You will have received your race number by post in advance of the event, however if you wish to switch from the LONG course to the SHORT course on the day you can do so at the help desk.

Leave No Trace: We operate a 'Leave no Trace' policy and any littering will result in disqualification.
